Islamic Terrorists, or Nazis?

This just goes to show you that Hezbullah, Hamas, Jihad, and whoever else you can name that are Jew murdering terrorists are no better that, if not worse than the Nazis.  They even enjoy the Nazi salute to Satan.  The only thing that gives me pleasure regarding their lives is knowing that they will pay sevearly at death.

Cholent Is Chinese?

Upon sitting in my living room on Friday night, enjoying my Shabbat. One of my rowdy, club going neighbors commented on a smell coming from my new crock pot.

"I smell Chinese food." she says. I can't help it. I start cracking up laughing. The only odd thing I did to my cholent was put Worcestershire sauce on my steak before it went into the crock pot.

Just had to tell you about that hilarious comment. I will think of that everytime I make that Cholent.

An Update and A Lost Comment From 'History Has A Face'

I accidentally deleted a comment posted in

'History Has A Face' by an anonymous reader.

This was the initial message:

i hope this is not viewed as offensive or too personal, i was just confused... i thought you were a convert! just wondering :) thnx and best of luck continuing your research!

As one can determine after reading my blog post my family is clearly Jewish. In fact I have researched my family’s Jewish roots back more than six generations. Including immigrant ship logs from my grandfather’s journey to America. This journey was made when he was 10 months old. He traveled with my great grandmother and namesake Nellie Rosenfeld. They were meeting up with my great grandfather who came to the U.S. to join his brother-in-law in business. This journey would eventually lead them to Canada after a short stint in Massachusetts.

Below is just a piece of the exciting evidence I have found of my family history:

Jerusalem Belongs To Everyone

During Shabbat a few weeks ago my husband and I took a walk and sat by the community pool at our home to relax and talk. The pool was quite crowed and we were forced to sit next to a family enjoying their Saturday BBQ.  Somehow we got into conversation with an adult couple sitting next to us.  They explained that they were Christian Zionists and knew we were Israeli the moment we sat down.  We had a very deep conversation about everything from politics, to Judeo-Christian values, to Israel.

Which brings me to my point.  My husband said something that struck me as very intuitive and I was very proud of him for this response.  He said "Jerusalem belongs to everyone" he was referring to the fact that Jerusalem is an important city for Christians, Jews, and Muslims.  It is a city for everyone.

I do believe however that the Jews are the Shepard of the land and since we have a good track record of giving equal access to religious sites in Israel I think it is the responsibility of the Jews to tend to the land.  This for me, includes the temple mount.

My husband constantly tells me stories of how the palestinians in Jerusalem are tearing apart part of the Temple wall and several underground tunnels for construction without any regard for the Geological significance the area holds.  This is something the Jewish people would never do.

These Christian Zionists also discussed with us how their future is also in the hands of the Jews and in Israel.  We discussed how Christian landmarks are also being destroyed at the hands of the palestinians.  Namely this takes place in Bethlehem or Bet Lechem which is currently within the boarders of the West Bank.

The one good thing to be said for the Muslim community in Israel is their great lengths at preserving and protecting the "Foundation Stone."  Considered a holy site in both Judaism and Islam, the Foundation Stone, also known as the dome of the rock in Islam, is considered to be the rock from which the earth was formed.  It is considered the navel, or belly button of the world.  It is said that Adam himself was formed from the dust of this rock and that during the time of the first temple, the Ark of the Covenant was placed upon it.  In Islam it is thought to be the spot where Muhammad ascended to heaven.

Even in a world where fighting occurs daily, killing in the name of religion is common, and hatred among religions run rampant, there is still a common and uniting monument.  An everlasting Rock of G-d that sustains us and gives us life.

And that is a true symbol of hope and a blessed reminder that Moshiach is coming and soon we will live in a divine world.

There Is A First Time For Everything

So I guess there is a first time for everything. I have recently begun to screen comments made to my blog as there has been an individual from my hometown shul who has taken to Internet harassment and has refused to address her meritless issues with me in person. I have added an IP blocker to stop this harassment from occurring as frequently. Even though she can still have access, at least I have made it much more uncomfortable for her as she can no longer do it from her Brandon, FL home (on her Brighthouse Internet from her Mac Computer in case you were curious (told you I was into research)). Although the woman will most likely see me in shul, I would be quite content to have it out with her in person. This will not occur however as she hasn't the chutzpah to do it. I have also decided that from here on my identity will be altered for writing purposes. Although with enough research I'm sure you can find my true identity. Another change you may find is that I have removed this pig's comments from my blog, something I do not do lightly. I do not feel like it is right to censor behavior or words no matter how grotesque however, I feel that for the protection of my name, and the privacy of those she unnecessarily involved I will remove all of her comments except the initial one and my response as I feel that it clarifies her obvious misconceptions and states my point very clearly. And finally, I have decided, more for myself than any other reason, to delete my second blog expressing the difficulties of my life. I have decided to remove this blog because I barely use it and because I have decided to keep a private journal for my personal feelings regarding my home life. As an additional note I would like to say Thank You to my husband. He reads all of my blogs like a faithful fan and he has expressed unrelenting support to me, even offering to have my back in case of a fight (lol, as if I would need it). But c'est la vie, or rather c'est la israelim. That IS what it means to be Israeli, to support your friends and family with all the vigor and passion that is in your own heart. He has known what this slaughter of character has done to me and has laughed with me at the ignorance so clear in so many ridiculous people. And as should always happen with an instance like this in life, we discussed what Torah and Talmud had to say on the matter, and common sense as well. I have come to a conclusion I already knew before this disruption... When stupid people are disturbed by something, but cannot develop a logical reason or argument, they take to insult and slander as a way to make their point. But the reality is, they only make themselves look stupider. Thank you, and again, I apologize for the disruption to our usual friendly debates.<$BlogFeedsVertical$>

History Has A Face

I have been working on tracing my Jewish ancestry for the last 6 - 8 months.  So far I have found that the roots of my family tree run deep in the Jewish European history.  My family comes primarily from England, Poland, and Romania.

So far I have had my fair share of issues.  Although a book called The Wandering Josephs: A Biographical Family History By Michael Benazon was a great help.  Michael Benazon was a second cousin of mine and put together a lovely book of my Jewish roots.  The book has been a valuable asset and has led me to discover 5 generations of Jewish ancestors and the details about their lives.

My Great-grandfather is Polish and other than his birth date and location there is nothing known to me of him or his family until he immigrated to my home country shortly followed by his wife and first born son.  He was from Lodz, Poland.

My Great grandmother's family has been far easier to track since they all came from and lived in England for most if not all of their lives.  They were residents in London and Brighton.  My father's Paternal side were typically on the books and family recollection of them is much more common knowledge than that of my Father's Maternal side of the family.

Obviously the mystery of My Grandmother and her family is alluring to me and eludes me like the eternal search for the fountain of youth.  However the history and the personal story of my grandmother and her family has always had deeper meaning to me as I have always felt this magnetic bond toward the short lived beauty.

The facts known about her and her family are scarce and the researchable information is becoming rapidly less available.  Romania as a country has had a rocky past.  With pieces going here and there during the war.  Not to mention the massive extermination of Romanian Jewish during the Holocaust.  In a study done by Israeli Holocaust expert Jean Ancel it is said that of 760,000 Jews in Romania, 420,000 were slaughtered during the Holocaust.  Many ending up in the now infamous Auschwitz.

From the research I've gathered I believe the Silbermans to be from Beaucrest.  It is the largest city in Romania and may be the KEY reason my great grandparents were able to make it out alive.  I have attempted to find my Great great grandfather through burial records but the Jewish cemetery records in Romania are atrocious at best. Most cemeteries were vandalized during the war and others have been neglected for so long that they are beyond repair.  Of course this is the optimist in me.  I also know the sad reality of the situation... That this great man was taken during WWII to his death by the Nazis and was most likely buried in a mass grave somewhere.

If anyone has been through a family research themselves I'd love to get your input, advice, or even just a lovely story.  I hope you enjoy a small piece of mine...

The New Face Of The Obama Campaign

There's a new kid on the block in Saddam Hussein's ::cough:: I mean Barack Hussein Obama's Campaign.  Known to this blogger as the New Nazis.  His name is David Bonior and you better bet he's Anti-Israel.  Bonior was one of only 21 individuals to oppose H.R. 392, to publicly announce Congress's support of Israel's right to defend itself against the palestinian terrorist organizations.

Bonior is a known panderer to the Islamo-Fascist palestinian organizations in Israel and has been a consistent threat to U.S./Israel relations.

Yet another reason in a VERY long list of why Barack Obama is bad for Israel and bad of America.
